Park Saves Green By Going "Green"

  • Jun 30, 2008

Change is in the air at Park. It could be the smell of new carpet or the bright new paint at our Crosby Campus, or perhaps the flowers in full bloom in Lincoln Park. Either way, we're in a moment of change at Park. We've changed locations, unveiled a new logo, updated our website, and now we're changing the way we communicate with you.

We know you're used to getting a program handed to you every week when you come to church, but here's the reality: we know (most of) you don't read it. Sure, it was something to look at during the service, a piece of paper to "doodle" on, and something that ended up in the trash. We did the math and figured that the savings, both on our church budget and the environment, would be HUGE if we moved from printing once a week to once a month.

So, beginning this week, we'll no longer be printing a weekly program; instead on the last Sunday of every month, we'll hand out @Park, a monthly guide to everything that's going on at Park. It's compact and full of all of the vital info you need, and it's great to give to a friend.

@Park will also be available throughout the month at our Guest Services table.

We're saving green by going green...and @Park is printed on recycled paper!

We'd love your feedback on the change, let us know what you think!
